Salary: £61,542 – £99,216 per annum (salary dependent on experience)

Main Duties of the Job
* Appoint a dedicated Trust Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ideally with UK experience at the level of a ST4 or above.
* Work in a 10‑bedded labour suite, a 23‑bedded post‑natal ward and manage Gynaecology patients on surgical wards, including early pregnancy unit, day‑case lists, inpatient lists and various clinics.
* Initially work a 1:8 full‑shift rota, progressing to 1:10 upon recruitment completion.
* Hold full GMC registration and a minimum of 6 months UK experience.
* Provide excellent accommodation nearby, with leisure facilities, schools, and transport links to Birmingham International Airport.
Job Responsibilities
* All clinical aspects of obstetrics.
* Perform occasional emergency duties under consultant guidance, ensuring work remains exceptional and not prolonged.
* Instruction and lecturing of student nurses, pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students from Warwick.
* Engage in research and audit activities, contributing to the department’s busy audit programme.
* Attend administrative meetings and support the Acute Unit’s Directorate System of administration.

* Working knowledge of general obstetrics and gynaecology.
* Demonstrated experience in obstetrics and general gynaecology.
* Involvement in audit projects.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Ability to motivate self and others.
Desirable
* Interest in research.
Person Specification – Qualification and Training
Essential
* MB ChB or equivalent registerable qualification.
* Eligible for full registration with the General Medical Council.
Desirable
* MRCOG.
* At least four years postgraduate experience, with at least three in specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
