Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative will provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers with the goal of maintaining meaningful business relationships. Our ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific, and eager to drive growth.
A Day in the Life:
* Provide professional communication via phone and email to customers and internal support teams.
* Use a sales order entry system, website, and knowledge base resources to provide accurate and timely assistance with order placements and status inquiries (pricing, availability, order status, shipping details, etc.).
* Follow established service quality standards and meet order and inquiry processing time standards (talk time, after-call work, order accuracy, etc.).
Keys to Success:
Education
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
* Two years of related customer service experience preferred.
* Experience with personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Solid understanding of Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One Software and SAP Software preferred.
* Ability to type repetitively, interact on the telephone, and view a computer monitor regularly.
* Ability to demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with customers, and handle confidential and proprietary information.
* Initiative and organizational skills are highly valuable for ensuring good customer service.
