This position has been classed as an anywhere worker role but requires the successful candidate to attend the office in Chelmsford 2 days per week, with the remaining time allowing for remote working, in line with the organisation’s needs.

The Recruitment Support Adviser (RSA) will support Essex Shared Services, hiring managers, and candidates. You will provide customer-focused and professional support, including arranging interviews, processing new temporary hires, and assisting temporary workers on site. A solid understanding of recruitment processes, legislation, and policies is essential, along with confidence in providing technical guidance to hiring managers.
Accountabilities
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end recruitment service for both temporary and permanent roles. Advise and guide hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment cycle, including employment law, policies, and legislation.
* Ensure adherence to ECC policies and promote inclusion, fair recruitment practices, equality, and transparency by guiding hiring managers in best practices.
* Arrange a high volume of interviews daily, ensuring candidates receive detailed confirmations and managing interview logistics, including skills assessments, testing, presentations, and vide interviews.
* Collaborate with recruitment teams to provide administrative and project support, including delivering special projects as required.
* Manage the full recruitment process for named temporary hires, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and timely start dates.
* Conduct IR35 checks for temporary hires, advising managers on legislation, HMRC requirements, and policy compliance.
* Oversee weekly temporary payroll, handling payment queries, invoicing, deductions, and providing guidance to temporary workers.
* Manage ECC’s recruitment agency supply chain, including contractual compliance and performance monitoring.
* Handle shared inbox queries promptly, ensuring effective communication.
* Support temporary workers on site, managing extensions and documentation updates.
* Meet individual and shared targets set within the performance management framework.
The Experience You Will Bring
* Educated to RQF Level 3 or equivalent through experience.
* Thorough knowledge of recruitment legislation, including Agency Worker Regulations, Equalities Act, and IR35.
* Understanding of diversity, inclusion, and reasonable adjustments legislation.
* Proficient in IT, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Passion for HR and resourcing best practices, with a focus on service excellence and complex query resolution.
* Ability to quickly develop expertise in temporary worker legislation and ECC policies, providing technical guidance.
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven, with excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, with experience in customer service and query resolution.
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
