Role Summary
This role leads the Waterproofing & Roofing Systems division, driving growth across membranes, breathable layers, tapes, coatings, roofing accessories, and building chemicals. The postholder will build a strong network of manufacturers and installers, positioning the product range as best-in-class for quality, availability, and commercial value.
Required Sector Experience (Essential)
Candidates must have demonstrable experience with:
* Roofing membranes (bituminous, breathable, vapour control layers).
* Waterproofing systems and liquid coatings.
* Roofing tapes, sealing systems, and roofing accessories.
* Potential building chemicals and sealants.
* Working closely with roofing merchants, specialist distributors, contractors, or waterproofing manufacturers.
* Knowledge of material performance, certification requirements (e.g., BBA), and product installation methods is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Hunt for new customer opportunities in roofing contractors, main contractors, and developers.
* Build strategic relationships with roofing membrane manufacturers, waterproofing suppliers, and chemical product producers.
* Negotiate terms, pricing, rebates, and exclusivity opportunities.
* Map the category landscape and define growth potential across sub-segments.
* Gather market intelligence on roofing shortages, seasonal demand, and competitor activity.
* Support digital product onboarding with accurate technical and compliance data.
* Represent the brand at roofing trade events, supplier demonstrations, and site visits.

* Strong technical grounding in roofing systems and waterproofing solutions.
* Natural hunter with evidence of commercial wins in the roofing/waterproofing sector.
* Skilled negotiator with existing supplier and contractor contacts.
