About the role
We are looking for Experienced Social Worker to join the Children and Families Safeguarding service on a temporary basis.
This role is suited to a confident practitioner with strong safeguarding experience and a proven ability to manage complex cases, court work, and multi‑agency interventions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a safeguarding caseload across Child Protection (Section 47), Child in Need, and Children Looked After
* Undertake statutory assessments and visits in line with legislation and local procedures
* Prepare high-quality assessments and court reports, demonstrating strong analytical skills
* Represent the local authority in court proceedings
* Develop and review SMART plans in partnership with children, families, and multi‑agency professionals
* Work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
