Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll work closely with business unit leaders and operators to provide robust financial reporting, planning and analysis, supporting alignment between financial performance and business targets. A DAY IN THE LIFE As our Finance Business Partner, your work will be varied, analytical, and at the heart of our commercial decision-making. You’ll prepare the reporting of our group management accounts, provide insightful performance analysis, and partner with business units to plan, forecast and optimise results. Your work will vary with accounting cycles, and will include: Delivering insightful financial reporting and analysis – Lead the production of monthly management accounting and KPI packs across the Group, providing clear performance analysis, variance commentary, and actionable insights to support strategic decisions. Develop project accounting processes, ensur ing project profitability reporting is accurate and insightful. Driving forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning – Partner with operational teams to support rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and cashflow planning, providing scenario modelling to guide pricing, purchasing, and investment choices. Championing data-driven performance management – Develop and maintain business performance and KPI reporting, leveraging automation and and Power BI reportin g - turning sometimes complex data into meaningful, real-time insights that help shape business performance. Enhancing financial systems and processes – Support the finance systems strategy, by ensuring system functionality and processes are optimised, consistent, and efficient across all business units, including involvement in new system implementations. Strengthening financial governance and compliance – Assist with the annual audit, ensure accurate financial records, and drive continuous improvement in financial controls, accuracy, and efficiency. Every day, you’ll be contributing to a finance function that’s insightful, proactive, and closely aligned to our business success. ABOUT YOU For success in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Proven experience in a similar Finance Business Partner or Commercial A ccounting role, ideally within a multi-entity or international business (experience within a Consultancy/ time sheet led business is highly desirable but not essential) Strong analytical skills and proven ability to translate numbers into insights. Hands-on experience with multi-currency reporting and consolidation. A collaborative mindset is critical along with strong communication skills, and confidence to influence at all levels. Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Experience of multi-entity ERPs is essential (Microsoft Business Central experience highly desirable) and Power BI dashboard creation/maintenance is advantageous.
