About the role Assistant Transport Team Manager - Night Shift Were looking for a dedicated and proactive Assistant Transport Team Manager to join our Night Team at the Harlow Distribution Centre, working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern from 6:00pm to 6:00am. Your Impact and Responsibilities As an Assistant Transport Team Manager, youll play a vital role in ensuring our transport function operates effectively, safely, and efficiently. You will: Support the Transport Team Manager with planning tasks across daily transport activity. Manage and monitor driver dispatch in line with the Transport Daily Plan. Conduct driver debriefs, ensuring accurate feedback and reporting. Analyse driver hours and ensure accurate journey time recording. Complete the Driver Delivery Schedule daily, recording journey hours, duty hours, fuel usage, and trunk information. Manage people processes including return-to-work interviews and workplace investigations, in line with company procedures. Provide reliable cover for the Transport Team Manager during periods of absence, including annual leave. Skills and Knowledge Were looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving logistics environment and can adapt quickly to change. You will need: Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment. Motivated and proactive with a positive approach to problem-solving. IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
