About Us
A Bristol-based architectural practice specialising in residential design. They are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join our team on a fixed-term basis, supporting the delivery of several key projects scheduled for early 2025.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with our architects and project leads to produce accurate technical drawings, detailed construction information, and coordinated Revit models. You will contribute to projects at various stages, from planning and technical design through to construction, ensuring that all outputs meet relevant UK building regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed technical drawings and documentation using Revit.
* Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and drawing packages.
* Prepare construction details, specifications, and schedules.
* Assist with planning and building control submissions.
* Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal design teams.
* Support the delivery of residential projects to agreed deadlines and quality benchmarks.
* Ensure all work complies with current UK legislation, codes, and best practice.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an Architectural Technician role (residential experience preferred).
* Strong proficiency in Revit (essential).
* Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential construction methods.
* Ability to produce clear, accurate, and buildable technical information.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and team-working skills.
* Ability to manage workload independently and work efficiently to deadlines.
