ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT (3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
BASED IN LIVINGSTON, SALARY EXCELLENT PLUS BONUS AND BENS PACKAGE
Based in Livingston, Grw Talent's client comprises a group of European companies engaged in the design, manufacture, and distribution of analytical systems, life science equipment, and laboratory instruments. They design, develop, supply, and support various product lines for markets including forensics, food quality, environmental, pharma, and life sciences. Manufacturing is located in the Netherlands and Livingston.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role involves joining a small Finance team based in Livingston. The position is a temporary cover within the team. Responsibilities include all typical Accounts Payable duties such as registering and posting invoices into the ERP system, handling supplier queries and statements, and liaising with departments like warehouse and production to ensure procedures are followed. Additional tasks involve creating payment groups, entering payment runs into the bank for approval, and performing month-end reconciliations to balance the books and review supplier payment aging profiles.
Responsibilities:
* Manage email inboxes for UK and NL entities
* Create and maintain supplier records in ERP
* Handle supplier queries
* Post invoices into the system
* Set up and process payment runs
* Enter payments into the bank
* Perform AP reconciliations
* Manage deposits and prepayments
Successful candidates will have experience entering invoices into ERP systems and managing supplier queries. Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries is desirable but not essential.
