W&A is supporting a well-established global business Glasgow based. They are seeking a proactive Project Accountant to join their finance team, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting a major project.
This hybrid role requires 3 - 4 days per week onsite in Glasgow.
The Opportunity
This is a high-responsibility position where you'll partner closely with senior managers to deliver meaningful financial insights. You'll be central to driving financial performance, ensuring effective cost control, and providing accurate and timely management information to guide project decision-making.
With exposure to a complex, high-value project, this role will offer you the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and gain invaluable experience within a supportive, collaborative finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project accounts, ensuring robust cost control and compliance with internal procedures.
* Analyse costs against budgets and forecasts, preparing insightful variance analysis reports.
* Process and validate supplier invoices, and manage monthly accruals.
* Prepare applications for payments and take ownership of billing activities.
* Support Commercial Managers with forecasting, business reviews, and project reporting.
* Provide financial modelling and costing support to aid project delivery.
* Build strong cross-functional relationships to enhance overall project efficiency.
What You'll Bring
* Part-qualified, QBE or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Around 5 years' experience in finance, ideally with some project-based or management accounting exposure.
* A strong grasp of key financial statements, with excellent analytical skills.
* Proficiency in SAP (desirable) and advanced Excel capabilities.
* The ability to work independently, proactively, and with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at different levels.

Package & Benefits
* £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
