Modular Data Center Principal Consultant – Lenovo Solutions and Services Group (SSG), within Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) – Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high‑performance infrastructure solutions. Transform complex customer and technical requirements into efficient, future‑ready modular data center designs focused on power architecture, advanced cooling technologies, and AI/HPC environments. Act as a key technical interface, collaborating closely with customers and cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions that are practical, cost‑effective, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate IT configurations and power consumption data into scalable, compliant data center facility requirements.
* Design end‑to‑end modular data center solutions (containerized, skid‑based, prefabricated) with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and cost optimization.
* Develop and maintain a standardized design library adaptable to diverse and non‑standard customer needs.
* Engineer robust power and cooling systems, including UPS, switchgear, redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N), and advanced cooling technologies (liquid, hybrid, DX, chilled water).
* Evaluate site conditions and climate factors to optimize energy efficiency, including economization strategies and PUE/WUE performance.
* Create technical documentation, including drawings, single‑line diagrams, layouts, and cost estimates to support proposals.
* Engage with customers through discovery sessions, site assessments, RFP/RFI responses, and technical presentations to define and validate solutions.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, product, suppliers, and Lenovo Neptune experts while driving thought leadership and best practices in modular, high‑density, and energy‑efficient data center design.
