Your role as an HR Ops Partner is to ensure you understand stakeholder needs and provide the best HR service to meet the needs of the Business Unit whilst ensuring alignment to the organisation's HR People Strategy. You will be responsible for the delivery of the people strategy on your sites with your management teams including but not limited to; Annual HR activities (engagement surveys, performance review etc), organisational design, resource planning and partnership with employee forums and unions where necessary. Also, responsible for the delivery of site based change management projects such as TUPE/Transition activities and other HR change projects as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Provide HR subject matter expertise and support to SLT regarding a number of aspects covering employment law, forums and trade unions ? Partner with the senior leadership team within your sites ? Deputise for the HRBP where required ? Lead, where required, HR work streams for change programmes / projects on your sites ? Ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is factored into all people change and the processes to facilitate this is in place ? Support Site(s) Employee Engagement activity ? Supporting site organisational design, advising line managers about levels and types of reward, including base and variable pay and incentives in line with company standards ? Promote and support site based capability and succession management activities, coaching managers in the use of PDPs and goal competency framework / succession planning tools ? Supporting annual pay review and bonus along with separate site-based awards including relevant pay negotiations where there is Trade Union recognition and collective bargaining in place ? Develop, coach and deliver HR training modules and other training and development activities in conjunction with the HR Advisors and the Capability team, including line manager capability ? Design and deliver effective recruitment campaigns to attract appropriate candidates (either internal or external) and ensure that candidates have a positive experience ? Ensure an understanding of the Customer base and requirements and work with the Customer Engagement Team ? Support the HR senior team with organisational and sector bids ? Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers / suppliers as required, including legal counsel ? Conduct Quarterly audits of the on-site temporary recruitment agency to ensure compliance with SLAs and legislation ? Produce MI dashboards and be able to review and discuss required actions related to analysis from weekly and monthly people management information (MI) with senior site managers, providing insight and assistance to drive improvements across sites ? Work closely with the Forum, Unions and the GM to ensure there is an effective employee voice ? Lead talent agenda for site/contract and coach GM to create and deliver succession and capability plans to support growth and development requirements, including technical skills, apprenticeships and internal development plans COMPETENCIES ? Strong planning and time management skills - able to balance priorities in a dynamic environment ? Ability to influence at a site senior management level, ability to be able to build relationships at all levels ? Able to work on own initiative whilst balancing the need to involve others for maximum effectiveness ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Ability to analyse and act on information effectively to minimise business risk. ? Willing to engage in ad-hoc projects such as new business ? Willing to challenge practice / process and people to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement ? Ensure confidentiality and discretion for all people processes in line with GDPR ? Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically ? Take accountability for proactively resolving issues EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED ? CIPD qualified – Level 5 or above (or working towards / relevant work experience) ? Proven knowledge and experience in employee relations ? Experience within an HR Advisor/Consultant role, ideally gained within a fast-paced warehousing / logistics environment. ? IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office & Google Suites, HR systems ? Previous experience of managing change management processes ? Experience working with a shared service team ?
