Registered nurse - lincolnshire

Lincoln
Marie Curie
Registered nurse
Posted: 4 July
Offer description

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, delivering community nursing and hospice care across all 4 nations, while providing information and support on dying, death, and bereavement. Our research advances understanding of good end-of-life care, and our campaigns advocate for a world where everyone experiences the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they are likely to die from.

Currently, we reach only about 10% of dying people at the end of life. One in four people with a terminal illness in the UK do not receive the care and support they need at the end of their lives.

Our mission for the next five years is to close this gap through:

* Growing and transforming our direct care and support
* Providing more practical information and support
* Leading in shaping the end-of-life experience

Your role in our mission

We are recruiting a Registered Nurse to join the multidisciplinary community team in Lincolnshire, providing holistic, person-centred end-of-life care, including assessing and understanding the care and support needs of patients and their families.

The nurse will research and network to understand available services, collaborate with other providers, and support system-wide improvements in the experience of dying, death, and bereavement.

You will work within legal, ethical, capability, and clinical frameworks, adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code and Marie Curie policies.

Job Structure: Permanent; Full Time 37.5 Hours/Week

* Eligible for pension schemes (charity will match contributions up to 7.5%)
* Additional benefits including bike, computer, and satellite navigation loan schemes, eyecare support, Marie Curie Blue Light Card, and Benefit Hub Discount Scheme

Benefits

* Annual leave: 27 days plus 8 public holidays (pro-rated)

* Support for professional development and training
* Life Assurance
