Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, delivering community nursing and hospice care across all 4 nations, while providing information and support on dying, death, and bereavement. Our research advances understanding of good end-of-life care, and our campaigns advocate for a world where everyone experiences the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they are likely to die from.
Currently, we reach only about 10% of dying people at the end of life. One in four people with a terminal illness in the UK do not receive the care and support they need at the end of their lives.
Our mission for the next five years is to close this gap through:
* Growing and transforming our direct care and support
* Providing more practical information and support
* Leading in shaping the end-of-life experience
