Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and possess a strong understanding of childhood development. As a Play Worker, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children, facilitating play and learning experiences that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning.
* Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
* Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and teamwork through group activities.
* Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
* Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to child care and education.
Skills
* First aid certification is highly desirable.
* Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
* Background in preschool education or early childhood education is essential.
* Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
* Previous experience working with children in various settings such as nursery/ classrooms is preferred.
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to support children's emotional needs effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
