We have an exciting opportunity to join our Benefits team in a permanent role. The team is friendly and supportive, delivering high-quality service to the residents of East Renfrewshire Council. The team provides residents with financial assistance via the Scottish Welfare Fund, Housing Benefit awards, Council Tax reduction, and Discretionary Housing Payments. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing a frontline service to our residents and processing customer information accurately and efficiently.
We need someone with experience in dealing with customers and delivering high standards of customer care. The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.
Ideally, the successful applicant should have an interest in Welfare Benefits and possess good numerical skills.
Depending on the needs of the service, staff in hybrid roles will typically work from home up to 40-60% of the time, where service needs can still be met.
