Overall Purpose: To ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively by aligning production schedules with customer demand, material availability, and resource capacity. They act as the central link between production, and sales, balancing priorities to deliver products on time while minimising waste, controlling inventory, and supporting overall business goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Planning

Supporting the Production Manager:

* Develop and manage detailed production schedules (Manlist) based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
* Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand, delivery timelines, and inventory goals.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow.
* Manage inventory levels of kit form and uncoated finished goods
* Allocate resources effectively to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining production targets and timelines.
* Monitor production KPIs such as OTIF performance.
* Anticipate potential production issues and take proactive corrective actions.
* Oversee the progress of orders through the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to delivery schedules
* Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and forecasts.

Procurement

· Monitor raw material and component levels to ensure uninterrupted production.

· Order materials for special projects.

· Price negotiations for suppliers, supported by our CFO.

· Manage the end-to-end procurement process including supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, purchase order issuance, and supplier performance evaluation.

· Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.

· Collaborate with production, supervisors and sales to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.

· Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier agreements, and procurement transactions.

· Lead supplier relationship management and foster long-term partnerships.

· Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in procurement operations.

Maintenance

* Manage maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
* Coordinate and supervise repair and maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
* Manage downtimes and integrate to production schedule

Process Optimisation and Lean

* Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline scheduling and reduce waste.
* Recommend process adjustments to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.

May be required to perform additional tasks to support team and organisational objectives.

Must have substantial experience of ERP systems.

Must be IT literate and excel at spreadsheets.
