Water Quality Technician – Full Time – Salary £26,914 per annum
Our Water Quality Technicians collect water samples in the field to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, supporting safe drinking water for our customers and the community.
What you'll be doing:
* Undertake sampling duties from source to tap to meet regulatory, operational monitoring and customer service requirements
* Comply with the company’s Health, Safety & Security policies
* Plan and deliver sampling, monitoring and customer support activities effectively
* Provide sampling support to Water Quality staff
* Comply with and suggest improvements to the company’s Quality Management Systems
* Maintain and improve customer contact to uphold and promote the company image
* Monitor trigger points and report promptly to minimise impact of situations
* Provide monitoring support during events and incidents
* Assist Water Quality Scientists in the timely resolution of customer contacts
* Use resources efficiently, keeping equipment and records at required standards
* Report on site asset conditions
What we're looking for:
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a Science subject at grade C or above
* Good geographical knowledge of the South West and a full UK driving licence
* Ability to follow procedures and work to regulator and business standards
* Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping
* Ability to deliver to time, cost, quality and performance targets
* Confident in using Microsoft Office and IT
* Comfortable working alone while keeping team members informed
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Flexible approach to work, participating in the work rota system
