A public sector organisation based in the Southampton area, offers hybrid working to an experienced Informationpliance Manager.
Your new role
Your new role is responsible for ensuring the organisationplies with its legal obligations in respect of data protection, Freedom of Information and other relevant legislation. You will be managing and mentoring a small team and reviewing and developing the processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Informationpliance department and the service it offers. The role requires a professional approach, strong and tactful engagement skills and an understandingmunication style. You will be working with a wide range of office and operational staff acting as an advisory SME.
1. You will provide specialist advice on data protection, FOI's, SARs etc and will work with both internal and external stakeholders.
2. You will hold the DPO designation and be the point of contact for the ICO for all data protection matters.
3. You will support employees with understanding their responsibilities around data security andpliance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a relevant background in informationernance and ideally a data protection qualification.
You will have experience of reviewing, updating and writing policies as well as delivering training.
You will have experience of managing and developing teams.
You will have excellentmunication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy with different stakeholders.
