We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across various commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, replacing filters, and recordkeeping.
* Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, making necessary repairs.
* Test HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
* Ensure statutory compliance with F-Gas regulations.
* Install air conditioning systems as required.
* Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labour costs, to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
* Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance work.
* Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
* Escalate issues promptly to the Supervisor/Contract Manager.
* Participate in out-of-hours call-out rotations and attend emergency repairs.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve client objectives.
* Liaise with subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure smooth operation of plant and facilities without disruptions.
Skills and Experience
* Experience with a range of air conditioning equipment, including VRVs, VRFs, and splits.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
* Fault-finding experience on traditional and modern plant equipment.
* Ability to work safely and diligently.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning.
* FGAS Category 1 certification.
* Electrical qualifications (beneficial).
* IPAF/PASMA certification (beneficial).
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Ability to pass contract-specific vetting, including background checks.
* Manufacturer-specific training or knowledge (beneficial).
