SEN / SEND Tutor, Nottinghamshire role at TieTalent
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Nottinghamshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, SEMH, and other needs. We support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support is delivered to learners referred by local authorities and schools, addressing educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online work
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status

* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage

* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
