As an Area Manager, you’ll take charge of multiple gym locations across the Midlands. You’ll be responsible for overseeing operational excellence, driving commercial performance, and delivering a consistently elevated member experience across all your sites. Job Description
You will ensure all gyms in your area operate to the highest standard in cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and member experience. You’ll coach, develop, and hold General Managers accountable to performance targets, creating a strong leadership culture that empowers teams to thrive.
You will take full ownership of commercial performance across your region, driving both income and cost control to ensure your sites consistently hit and exceed KPIs including membership growth, attrition, and secondary spend.
You’ll be responsible for embedding the Everlast Gyms brand identity across all locations, ensuring consistency in standards and alignment with Frasers Group’s ambition to elevate and innovate. This includes supporting digital rollouts and transformation initiatives.
A key part of your role will be identifying and developing future talent. You’ll focus on succession planning and creating a clear internal pipeline for leadership progression, while fostering a high-performance culture rooted in accountability and results.
You will also play an active role in the successful launch of new gym locations and elevation projects across the Midlands, supporting with pre-opening planning, recruitment, and opening-day execution to drive immediate commercial impact.
Compliance will be a core expectation, with all sites expected to meet legal and company standards across health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.
You’ll use operational and digital reporting tools to analyse performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that enhance both member satisfaction and commercial delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a multi-site manager ideally within a fitness space
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire high-performing teams
* Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and delivering against targets
* Passion for health, fitness, and customer service
* Excellent communication, planning, and decision-making abilities
* A flexible approach to working hours and travel across the Midlands region
* Experience with gym CRM/operations systems and digital tools is advantageous
