Overview
Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a full-time Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a Special Interest in Lower Limb (Hip and Knees). The post holder would be expected to complement the current workforce in the Trauma and Orthopaedics team and deliver high-quality patient care across a broad range of services. The role is planned to include 10 Programmed Activities (PAs).
Responsibilities
* Manage patients in outpatient clinics, including fracture and virtual fracture clinics and participate in triage duties.
* Operate in both elective and trauma theatres.
* Provide support and teaching to junior medical staff across Trust sites.
* Contribute to service improvement initiatives and participate in regular clinical governance meetings, service development sessions and educational forums.
Qualifications and requirements
* Consultant level in Trauma & Orthopaedics with a Special Interest in Lower Limb (Hip and Knees).
* Ability to work as part of a busy multidisciplinary team and contribute to auditing and service evaluation.
