Acorn Administrator/Registrar
We are looking to appoint an Administrator/Registrar at our popular nursery and join a highly committed, friendly and passionate team.
The role requires someone who has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and has good organisational and administrative skills. At the centre of everything that goes on in school, duties will be varied, including: assisting the Head with the registration process; overseeing financial matters; supporting colleagues and parents; and being the first point of call for all visitors.
Good personal presentation, a friendly disposition and a willingness to participate in school life are considered important qualities for this position.
This role will involve contact with, and responsibility for, children and will amount to 'regulated activity'.
Previous school experience is desirable, but not essential. The candidate must have excellent written English and strong secretarial and computer skills.
The salary will be circa £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role will be term time and staff INSET days plus an additional 15 days per year during the holidays.
Please click the 'Apply' button to submit your application form.
The closing date for completed applications is 9am on Wednesday 17th September 2025, although early applications are encouraged. Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date. The interview will include an in-tray exercise.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are 'spent' unless they are 'protected' under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
The Acorn is an equal opportunities employer.
