About The Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated Installation Operative to join our Installations Team at our Great Yarmouth branch. This role will be based at both our branch yard and on-site pump installations when required.

The Installation Operative will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of our branch and projects within the surrounding region under the direction of the Installation Supervisors. Flexibility is essential due to the changing needs of our business and customer requirements.


Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver a consistent approach to installations across the UK.
* Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework, and associated equipment as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
* Identify and recommend innovative solutions to make our business and customer offering more unique and attractive, and to improve efficiency in completing installations.
* Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, checking paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area on-site.
* Work with specialist sub-contractors to complete projects.
* Prioritize safety at all times, demonstrating confidence, knowledge, and experience to halt installations if safety issues arise, and inform your supervisor.

This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.


Essential:

* Previous experience in a similar environment (water industry, construction, oil, or gas) with knowledge of on-site safety.
* Confidence working at heights, in confined spaces, and around sewage/wastewater.
* Ability to adapt to challenging situations on construction sites.
* Effective teamwork and communication skills for timely project completion.
* Flexibility with working hours and availability to be ‘on call’.
* Willingness to travel and work away from home occasionally.
* Focus on Health & Safety, adhering strictly to guidelines.
* Full driving license (no more than 6 points).


Preferred:

* Construction Skills CSCS card holder.
* National Water Hygiene Card.
* Forklift truck operator certification.
* Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions.
