A dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant is required to support pupils and teaching staff in a vibrant and welcoming school environment. This rewarding role involves helping children to reach their potential by providing tailored classroom support and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
* Assist the class teacher in preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
* Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to support their learning and development.
* Help manage behaviour and encourage positive interactions in the classroom.
* Support pupils with special educational needs and adapt learning activities where needed.
* Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and on school outings as required.
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupils’ progress and behaviour.
* Help maintain a safe, tidy, and engaging classroom environment.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
* A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, is an advantage.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people’s learning.
* Able to work well as part of a team and independently when needed.
