Overview
Health and Wellbeing Coach – MAN v FAT Southampton. We are looking for a dedicated MAN v FAT Club Coach to support players and ensure the smooth running and high performance of our club based at Southampton (Tuesdays, from 7:30pm – 9:30pm).
MAN v FAT Football provides 14-week, small-sided football leagues designed to help overweight men improve their physical and mental health. The programme was launched in 2016 by male weight loss specialists and is endorsed by the FA and Sport England. The clubs have over 150 locations across the UK.
Note: this role does not involve training players on the pitch or instructing exercise. It is about supporting and motivating players to make healthy lifestyle changes, facilitating a safe and effective session, and completing league-related admin tasks.
Responsibilities
* Support players to make health and lifestyle changes during sessions
* Facilitate a safe and effective session and manage league-related admin tasks
* Ensure high performance and smooth operation of the club in Southampton
* Engage with players to foster motivation and attendance
Qualifications
* Current First Aid qualification (essential)
* Access to own transport (equipment will be transported to and from sessions)
* Confident using a computer (online data entry; own device required)
* Understanding of weight loss or first-hand experience

Contract & Salary
Contract: Sessional (3 hours per week)
Salary: £15 - £20 per hour
