About The Role:
Are you passionate about Engineering? Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience with machinery or qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical engineering?
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer at our Banbury site, you will enjoy a supportive environment where your contributions are recognized. You will work 3.5 days per week on a 3 on 2 off shift (alternating days/nights), totaling 42 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering teams and deputize for the Engineering Shift Manager.
* Ensure maintenance is carried out as per schedule, with effective corrective actions.
* Respond swiftly to mechanical, electrical, and PLC breakdowns, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements.
* Communicate breakdowns and work with operations to minimize downtime.
* Follow safety and hygiene standards and promote good engineering practices.
* Mentor junior engineers and apprentices.
* Report health, safety, animal welfare, and environmental issues promptly.
* Manage contractors and raise stock requests.
* Generate shift reports when deputizing for the Shift Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
* HNC, HND, or Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
* Electrical & Control Engineering bias with PLC knowledge
* 6+ years of engineering experience
* Desirable: refrigeration, welding/fabrication, IEE 17th/18th edition, food manufacturing experience
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
