Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + car allowance + package

About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their pre-contract team in the South region. The role involves estimating contracts and projects during the pre-contract/tender stage, especially for multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects, including CP7 framework projects.

Team Overview: The South region handles a variety of projects at the pre-contract/tender stage across engineering and rail infrastructure, including:
* Rail
* Civil Engineering & Building Works
* Mechanical & Electrical Works
* Electrification & Plant Works
Projects include bridges, footbridges, embankments, station improvements, platforms, tunnels, and electrification, serving Wales, Western, and the South East regions. The team works on diverse projects, from tenders to long-term agreements with key clients.
Your Role as an Estimator:
* Manage tender documentation from registration to submission.
* Prepare and oversee tenders from start to finish.
* Present tenders at review meetings to senior management.
* Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on supplier/subcontractor inquiries.
* Conduct technical and commercial appraisals of labour, plant, materials, and temporary works.
* Perform take-offs from drawings and develop cost-effective tenders based on first principles.
* Analyze and price risks related to tenders.
* Prepare tender submissions and estimating reports.
* Support proposals and contract management activities.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience as an Estimator in civil engineering and/or Electrical & Power infrastructure, especially in multi-disciplinary projects and frameworks.
* Proficiency in First Principles Estimating.
* Solid background in Rail and Civil Engineering projects.
* Rail experience is advantageous.
* Knowledge of Causeway software is desirable.
