As a Senior Support Worker, you will join a dedicated, resilient, enthusiastic team providing support across two homes in Shrewsbury.
What would you be doing?
You will manage staff rotas and mentor, train and coach your team. Working with the Manager you will monitor and control expenditure to ensure there are robust budget controls in place. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and our own processes and procedures.

Rebekah, Amelia and Jayde share a home, they are all in their twenties and like to have lots of fun. It's a busy household with lots going on, so the days fly by with no two the same.
A day shift might involve supporting the 3 lovely girls to attend their regular riding session and accompanying them to the local farm.
They lead active lifestyles so sometimes its hard to keep up! Jayde loves going out to the the cinema or go swimming. Where as Rebekah and Amelia have dance classes that they attend every week. Favourite activities include visits to the gym, bowling and go to the sports village.
It's very important that you support them to maintain regular contact with their families. You will help with day to day household duties like cleaning, shopping & cooking and with a bit of encouragement Rebekah Jayde and Amelia will get involved. They do love making their own pizzas with a variety of toppings. (Wouldn't that be fun?!)

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week
Flexibility is essential as you will be working as part of a rota that includes weekends, Bank holidays, sleep ins.

About you
Ideally, you'll have some experience working with people who have a learning disability. Perhaps you've been a Support Worker or Care Assistant and are now looking to step up to a more senior role.

You must be a driver with an full UK manual licence.
