Scale1 SCP 2 Contract type: Part time, Permanent, 6.25 hours per week, term time (12pm – 1.15pm) plus possible ancillary hours as and when required Start Date: Monday 5 th January 2026 or sooner if available. We have a vacancy at our friendly rural village school. We are seeking to appoint a friendly and committed lunchtime supervisor. The role will include serving food, supporting children with their cooked/packed lunches as well as supervising them on the playground. We are soon to be launching the OPAL play initiative to improve the experience of play for everyone so are looking for someone willing to engage with children and encouraging positive play. A good understanding of caring for children and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential. Duties may include; Setting up of dinner trolley and receiving food delivery Organising dinner queue and entrance of pupils into dining hall Serving of food/portion control on rota basis with other lunchtime staff Encouraging good behaviour and table manners in the dining hall Cleaning up any spillages Encouraging positive play and supporting games and activities in line with the OPAL play initiative guidelines Reporting any accidents/incidents Assisting with cleaning the dining hall at the end of lunchtime Any other duties as and when required Sytchampton Endowed Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
