Social Care & Education Childcare Lawyer
Full time 36 Hours

We are looking for experienced childcare lawyers (solicitors, legal executives, barristers) to join our fast-paced in-house childcare legal team. We seek individuals committed to securing positive outcomes for children and young people, using their exceptional legal skills to provide expert legal advice to the Council.
You will be part of a team and, as a Local Government Lawyer, you will need to be flexible and pragmatic, offering a proportionate and well-rounded perspective. You can expect a varied and challenging caseload ranging from care proceedings, inquests, adoption, secure and DoLs applications. You will be directly supported by a Principal Solicitor and will have opportunities to participate in an ongoing development programme to benefit both clients and the in-house legal team.
You will have opportunities to engage in council-wide projects as well as those specific to legal services. A career progression scheme is available, offering additional remuneration and opportunities for further professional development.
