Job Description Assistant Buyer Purchasing excellence that makes flying possible Working within the Safran UK purchasing team, the Assistant Buyer will conduct purchasing activities to support the P2P (Purchase to Pay) process. This includes processing purchase requisitions, obtaining quotes from suppliers, vendor onboarding for individual sites and supporting invoice queries (when purchasing responsibility). The Assistant Buyer will work collaboratively within the Purchasing Team to provide excellent administration support to the Buyers and wider team. Key Responsibilities & Duties include: - Administration support including but not restricted to; Invoice queries, Purchase Order processing and expediting. - Keep purchase data up to date in the ERP and support end users on day-to-day SAP queries. - Manage the implementation process for on-boarding new suppliers. - Obtaining quotations from suppliers; doing 'smaller' RFQs; looking for savings opportunities, following basic contracting process Job Requirements - Positive mindset with a willingness to learn purchasing methodologies and process - Organised, structured approach. - Strong numerical skills. - Focused and task oriented; with resilience to complete a task in full. - Demonstrable problem solving skills At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.
