About the Role
Vision for Education is working with a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across Essex to recruit passionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). These roles offer the opportunity to support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access education and reach their full potential.
Opportunities are available in mainstream schools, specialist settings, and alternative provisions across the county.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
2. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
3. Support students with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
4. Adapt learning materials to suit individual abilities
5. Promote independence, confidence, and engagement
6. Monitor and report on pupil progress
Requirements
7. Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth work)
8. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. A genuine passion for supporting learning and development
11. GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent is often required
12. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
