Role Overview As a Solicitor within our Ascent team, you will provide high-quality legal advice to clients while managing both secured and unsecured litigation matters independently.
You will be responsible for progressing cases efficiently, meeting client service standards, and ensuring work is completed with accuracy and professionalism.
This role offers exposure to a variety of litigation matters, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to contribute to practice development and wider team initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of secured and unsecured litigation matters independently.
Provide clear and accurate legal advice to achieve appropriate client outcomes.
Keep clients informed of case progression and maintain strong professional relationships.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, SLAs, and risk and regulatory requirements.
Meet fee, cost, and time-recording targets.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law, practice, and regulatory standards.
Attend team meetings and contribute to practice development activities.
Use internal case management systems effectively and meet all litigation deadlines.
Support the firms performance, training, and compliance frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience Essential: Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Commercial mindset with strong client-service focus.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Resilient and able to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
Understanding of regulatory requirements including MCOB, CONC, DISP, SYSC, PRIN and the Lending Code.
Knowledge of litigation processes for secured and unsecured lending. xxuwjjq
