First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
The Focus of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure all safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Put Health and safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all
2. H&S standards and regulations
3. Carry out Planned Preventative maintenance on a full range of equipment within the site
4. React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
5. Provide high levels of equipment availability.
6. Support the wider Team
7. Management of contractors.
8. On-site support and responsibility for management and escalation of high-risk situations
9. Control of contractors when required.
10. Management of Critical spare parts inventory.
11. General production support.
12. Use basic IT/IS functions.
13. Maintenance of electronic documents and databases and record accurate data on reports.
14. Repairs to the building infrastructure.
15. Creation of check and maintenance lists for new installations.
16. Review, completion, and modification of construction plans (Management of Change) of the production facilities.
17. Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety.
18. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position.
19. Understand and follow all PCP and CCP checks.
20. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement outages, be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product.
Skills and Qualifications:
21. Multi skilled in both Electrical(instrumentation) and mechanical with an electrical bias.
22. Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance systems.
23. Fault finding on Siemens PLC and material handling Automated systems.
24. Experience in interpreting both Mechanical and electrical drawings.
25. Experience of Conveyor Maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
26. Maintenance and servicing of production facilities.
27. Experience of high voltage switching.
28. Experience of sortation, conveyor machinery.
29. Experience of fault finding on Building equipment i.e. HVAC, Dock levelers, Chillers, and general building maintenance.
