Flow and Navigation (FNC) are currently recruiting for a new team member to add to this expanding service.
We are looking for organised individuals who have experience working in a fast paced environment with the confidence and ability to use your own initiative when problem solving to ensure that FNC runs smoothly, safely and effectively within the resources available. You will have mentoring from the senior FNC team for support as required.
The Dispatcher receives calls from Professional-to-Professional lines (e.g. Scottish Ambulance Service, GP Practices, Hospital at home and Hospital Clinicans) and NHS24 and are required to record significant information on the Trakcare system and transfer calls to relevant clinicians. The Dispatcher also has oversight of all calls awaiting triage and actions these appropriately to ensure timely response.
As a Dispatcher you will work alongside other health care professionals and must demonstrate and be able to establish effective working relationships. You will require excellent communication skills and the confidence to manage a variety of requests.
It is preferable to have experience of working within a health-care setting, medical terminology, and computer skills such as mircosoft packages.
You are required you to be able to work flexibly across the hours of 08:00 – 2030, this will include weekend working and public holidays, you always have your rota 4 weeks in advance. Various hours available - Fixed term for 6 months
