Job Purpose:
The Technical Report Writer provides vital support to the engineering team by accurately processing and managing complex site data for technical reports. This role requires high attention to detail, proficiency in data handling software, and an understanding of engineering concepts to ensure the quality and consistency of report deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Data Processing and Management
* Enter and verify large volumes of technical data with precision and speed.
* Organize and maintain databases related to engineering projects.
* Ensure all data complies with company standards and project specifications.
Report Preparation
* Collaborate with engineers to compile and format data for inclusion in technical reports.
* Drafting both technical and interoperative reports.
* Proofread and check accuracy in numerical data, charts, and graphs.
* Assist in creating templates and standardizing report formats to improve efficiency.
Quality Assurance
* Conduct regular data audits to identify and correct inconsistencies or errors.
* Implement processes to ensure data integrity and reliability across projects.
* Coordinate with engineers and project managers to clarify discrepancies in data.
Administrative Support
* Maintain organized records and documentation for ongoing projects.
* Provide administrative assistance to the engineering team, including scheduling and communication.
* Assist in compiling project files for submission to clients or regulatory bodies.

Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with database systems and data entry best practices.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Educated to degree level.
