Job Overview

We’re looking for a commercially sharp and results-driven Head of Wholesale to lead and grow our wholesale channel across the UK & Ireland. This is a high‑impact leadership role where you’ll shape a market‑leading proposition and deliver sustainable, profitable growth across national and regional wholesalers, buying groups, and independent distributor networks. You’ll sit at the heart of the business—bringing together Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Pricing, and Supply Chain—to unlock new opportunities, expand market share, and elevate our customer offering.

Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Growth

* Build and deliver a best‑in‑class wholesale strategy that sets us apart in the market.
* Lead annual and monthly sales planning aligned to wider business objectives.
* Own customer segmentation and targeting—developing a strong pipeline to win new business.
* Drive profitable growth while protecting channel integrity and avoiding cannibalisation.


Commercial Excellence & Collaboration

* Develop compelling go‑to‑market strategies in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
* Align Field Sales, Key Accounts, Technical, and Network teams to deliver a unified customer experience.
* Turn insight into action—leveraging data to inform decisions and maximise performance.


Leadership & Capability Building

* Lead, inspire, and develop high‑performing teams across the sales organisation.
* Act as a trusted coach and mentor, building capability at every level.
* Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Customer & Market Impact

* Stay close to the market—building strong, lasting customer relationships.
* Identify growth opportunities and drive excellence in execution across all wholesale partners.
* Be a visible and credible leader in front of customers and stakeholders.


Skills And Experience

You’re an inspiring leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for delivering results. You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.


Essential Experience & Skills

* Proven experience in Wholesale / Reseller / 3‑step distribution, ideally within Automotive or Industrial sectors.
* Strong track record of delivering profitable growth in complex sales environments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead senior teams and influence across a matrix organisation.
* Exceptional coaching and people development skills.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen—comfortable using data to drive decisions.
* Customer‑first mindset with a passion for being out in the field.
* Technically confident, able to engage with automotive product propositions.
