Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Location: Stockport
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only, starting February 2026.
Minimum pay rate: £95/day
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school near North Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.
What will you do:
Work closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need extra help.
Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher.
Previous experience working in a UK school is desirable.
Experience working with young people in either a voluntary or professional capacity desirable.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year or willingness to complete Prospero's online Safeguarding Training.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
