Role Overview:

Our Principals play a key role in shaping projects within an account, co-leading the creation of medical content across various therapy areas, providing strategic insights, and managing client relationships. This position suits proactive communicators who enjoy managing writing teams, ensuring quality, and acting as primary client contacts. Principals can specialize in content development, team leadership, or strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

* Therapy and scientific expertise: Co-lead development of high-quality medical content across multiple therapy areas to meet/exceed client expectations.
* Strategic input: Provide strategic insights, question and understand client briefs, and challenge outputs to ensure excellence.
* Client relationships: Serve as the day-to-day medical contact for clients.
* Managing and mentoring: Lead and mentor junior team members, ensure accuracy and quality of assets, delegate work effectively, and meet billable targets.
* Project expertise: Demonstrate versatility across various deliverables, uphold high standards, and select appropriate channels and formats for projects.
* Quality standards: Maintain the highest quality in content and project management, and develop training for junior staff.

Ideal Candidate:

* Experience as a medical writer at SMW level or above.
* Experience managing medical writers and interacting with clients.
* Deep understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry.
* High academic achievement.
* Personable, articulate, and able to nurture professional relationships.

Work Environment:

Our hybrid working model offers office attendance in the UK (Manchester, Edinburgh) at least two days a week, with flexibility for remote work and quarterly in-person meetings. We value connection, collaboration, and flexibility to support our team’s success.
