HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to work for our Coalville depot. The main purpose of the role will be to support with daily deliveries to new and existing customers across the Northern region. The Details Salary: £39,891.34 Shift: 4 On/4 Off Days 42 Hours Average Per Week Start/Finish Times: 05:00 -17:00 Monthly Pay HGV Class 1 Driver Duties: General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises or other MDS locations. Delivering product on behalf of MDS and their customer Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given to ensure best practice) Assisting with loading and unloading HGV Shunter Duties: Supporting the depot by loading & unloading onsite trailers To carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks prior to commencement of shift complying with appropriate documentation and procedures Ensure vehicle load is safe, secure and correctly positioned Correctly check and accept load documentation and delivery paperwork Correctly check in any returned goods and ensure paperwork is accurate Operate vehicle safely, ensuring driver actions do not endanger self or other road users Undertake any other reasonable job instruction to support the supply of a quality service to the customer Ratchet, Strap & corner management duties.
