Role Partner Liaison Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Contract: 37 hours pw, flexible around core hours. Full-time. Permanent
Location: Bury / Hybrid with extensive / frequent travel
Reports to: General Manager
Veterans into Logistics was founded to prevent and reduce poverty across the military veteran community by creating a holistic pathway of funded HGV driver training into employment for those struggling with the transition to civilian life, holding criminal convictions, long-term unemployed and, or those on low incomes. In doing so, we restore dignity, independence and purpose to those who have served.
Position Overview
The Partner Liaison Manager will be responsible for creating and cultivating mutually beneficial partnerships with logistics companies that wish to support the charity’s mission to help veterans into stable careers, whilst in-turn providing potential employees ideally suited to the sector.
The postholder will source employment opportunities for veterans, whilst encouraging charitable donations, including through our Corporate Patron Scheme.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
* Act as the main liaison between the charity and partner organisations.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with logistic partners.
* Serve as the charity’s representative at partner meetings and events, as well as community engagements.
* Present the charity's mission, vision, goals and outcomes at initial and ongoing meetings.
Partnership Development
* Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with the charity’s mission.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop partnership proposals and agreements.
* Track partnership deliverables and ensure commitments are met on both sides.
* Provide partners with regular updates, impact reports and recognition of their contributions.
Communication & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in CRM or tracking systems.
* Prepare and deliver partnership reports, presentations and updates to leadership.
* Assist in creating promotional materials that highlight partnerships and success stories.
* Work alongside the charity’s Founder by organising meetings and managing both calendars.
Veteran Advocacy
* Ensure all partnerships reflect and support the needs of veterans and their families.
* Engage with veteran communities to identify service gaps and collaborate with partners to address them.
Qualifications
* Experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement or community outreach (non-profit or corporate).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the charity professionally.
* Familiarity with veteran issues, military culture or related social services is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships / projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Flexibility to travel locally / regionally for meetings and events as required, you will need to have access to a vehicle.
Preferred Attributes
* Veteran or military family background (lived experience desirable but not essential).
* Passion for serving veterans and a commitment to the mission of the charity.
Working Conditions
* Hybrid (office / remote role Monday to Friday with occasional evening / weekend commitments.
* You will have annual targets which will be set and agreed between you and the General Manager.
* Work alongside the Founder as well as working autonomously to achieve your agreed targets.
