Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E&I) Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

We are supporting a leading specialist in advanced gas analysis systems in their search for an E&I Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Middlewich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative analyser systems delivered to clients across the UK and internationally.
The Role:
As an E&I Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Designing and specifying electrical and signal systems, gas routing schematics, and mechanical layouts for analyser racks and cabinets.
Producing P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.
Developing I/O schedules and selecting components such as transmitters and flow meters.
Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation design (process or analyser systems desirable).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
Solid understanding of low-voltage systems, control loops, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
Knowledge of emissions monitoring or process analyser systems (advantageous).
A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
