Job Advert We are looking for a high-performing Commercial Sales Manager to lead and drive sales performance within our assigned hub. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a team of desk-based Sales Executives while actively contributing to outbound and inbound sales activity yourself. This is a 50/50 role, you will spend approximately half of your time managing, coaching and driving team performance, and the other half operating on the phones as an active sales agent. We are specifically seeking someone with strong experience in an outbound call centre environment who leads from the front and sets the pace through personal example. You will play a key role in executing the Group’s commercial sales strategy, embedding strong performance management disciplines, and ensuring consistent use of business tools and data to drive accountability and results. Team Leadership & Development * Lead, coach, and develop a team of desk-based Sales Executives. * Set clear expectations around behaviours, standards, and ways of working. * Conduct regular one-to-ones, coaching sessions, and performance reviews. * Support onboarding and induction of new starters to ensure early productivity. * Remain highly visible and accessible, leading by example on the sales floor. Performance Management, Reporting & Data * Own day-to-day sales reporting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. * Drive disciplined use of CRM and sales tools (e.g., CODAS). * Use dashboards and reports toidentifytrends, risks, and opportunities. * Provide clear, data-led performance insights to the Commercial Sales Director. * Support forecasting and structured pipeline reviews. Operational Excellence * Drive consistent sales processes and standards. * Ensure compliance with data processes and system usage. * Support implementation of campaigns, new tools, and improved ways of working. * Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to support a positive customer experience. Customer & Market Focus * Ensure sales activity is customer-focused and relationship-driven. * Maintain awareness of customer needs, competitor activity, and local market dynamics. * Handle escalated customer issues professionally and efficiently. What will you bring? * Proven experience in a sales management or senior sales role within a B2B outbound call centre environment. * Comfortable operating in a 50/50 split role between team management and personal sales delivery. * Demonstrated success in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets. * Strong understanding of KPI-driven sales performance and reporting. * Experience using CRM/sales systems to manage pipeline, performance, and forecasting. * Commercially minded, results-focused, and customer-driven. * Resilient, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. * Thinks fast and adapts quickly to trading priorities. * Highly visible and available to support the team. * Leads by example with strong personal sales capability. * Skilled coach who can train and develop sales professionals.
