About the Laundry Operative role. This role is for Saturdays only.
Laundry Operatives are responsible for washing, drying, sorting, and folding laundry items for the hotel sector. They operate machines, such as commercial washing machines, tumble dryers as well as ironing equipment for which full training will be given. They will also be required to sort linen into the same type ready for washing.
Laundry Operative Summary
A Laundry operative is responsible for washing, drying, and folding laundry for various customers. This includes sorting and separating items. A laundry operative must be able to use a variety of detergents, and other laundry chemicals safely and effectively. They must also be able to monitor and adjust machines as needed to ensure proper washing and drying of items.
Laundry Operative Duties / Requirements
· Sort and separate linens and materials for washing
· Load and unload washing machines and dryers
· Monitor and adjust washing and drying machines by selecting correct programme
· Ability to lift and carry items
· Ability to operate laundry equipment
· Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
· Ability to fold and organize hotel laundry
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The company operates Monday to Saturday 8am - 4pm.
We operate a day shift which is 8am – 4pm (during busier periods it may be necessary to start earlier or finish later)
We are offering 8 hours per week for Saturdays with the opportunity of extra hours on our busier periods if available.
We meet the government national minimum wage guidelines.
Salaries are paid monthly into a bank or building society account.
