Salary – National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £59,100 to £80,233 and London £64,900 to £88,100 pro rata (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

We’re seeking a collaborative professional to join our Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Investment-Based Crowdfunding (IBCF) team within the Consumer Investments Directorate. This team oversees innovative firms that connect borrowers and early-stage businesses with individual and institutional investors. You’ll help supervise firms offering high-risk investment products, using data-led insights and proactive engagement to identify and address failing firms & financial crime and support responsible practices & positive consumer outcomes.
The role offers exposure to bespoke business models, financial analysis, policy development and cross-team collaboration, with hybrid working across our London and Edinburgh offices. What will you be doing?
1. Supporting the team manager with prioritising work, resourcing effectively and helping the team thrive
2. Guiding and nurturing junior colleagues through mentoring, coaching and line management where needed
3. Leading complex cases and projects with care, clarity and a collaborative approach
4. Using intelligence, data insights and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence tools to identify risks and shape strategies that promote good outcomes
5. Building positive, impactful relationships with senior leaders across regulated firms
6. Collaborating closely with internal teams to gain insights, share knowledge and strengthen regulatory impact

Minimum
13. Prior experience in analysing financial data and presenting insights clearly to senior stakeholders
14. Prior experience in UK financial services—across regulation, consultancy, audit, or compliance
15. Prior experience in writing clear, concise, well-structured reports that support risk-based decision-making
Essential
16. Confidence managing changing priorities and supporting junior colleagues with care and clarity
17. Ability to build inclusive relationships across teams and with external stakeholders
18. Experience using data to spot patterns, inform decisions and shape positive outcomes
19. Willingness to travel within the UK and engage with firms directly
20. Curiosity to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities in a dynamic environment
21. Awareness of the P2P and IBCF sectors and understanding of the FCA’s supervisory approach
