Ventus Energy is seeking an experienced Manager to Lead the Operations Division and integrate our core delivery functions across Operations & Maintenance, Commissioning, Engineering, and the Control Centre, ensuring consistent governance and performance across the Asset Management Department as the business scales.
Location: UK / Europe (with regular offshore & client travel)
Reporting to: Managing Director
About The Role
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for safe, efficient, and commercially effective operational delivery across the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Divisional Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping Ventus Energy’s operational strategy, scaling delivery capability, and enabling sustainable growth in the offshore energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across O&M, Commissioning, Engineering, and the Control Centre functions.
* Drive integration and alignment across operational delivery teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs across all projects and long-term service contracts.
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with Ventus Energy’s commercial objectives and growth plans.
* Establish and maintain operational governance routines, reporting structures, and performance oversight to support scalable growth.
Performance, Delivery & Growth Enablement
* Take full accountability for operational performance, including safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
* Drive standardisation, continuous improvement, and best practice across all operational activities.
* Oversee mobilisation and execution of offshore and onshore works, ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
* Shape and refine delivery models, resource strategies, and operational cost structures to support new opportunities and scalable service offerings.
* Provide operational input into business development activities, including bid strategy, tender reviews, delivery modelling, and mobilisation planning for new contracts and frameworks.
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Champion a strong safety culture across all operational teams.
* Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements, industry standards, and client-specific procedures.
* Lead incident management, investigations, and corrective actions where required.
People & Capability
* Lead, develop, and mentor senior operational leaders and departmental heads/managers.
* Support workforce planning, recruitment, and competency development across operational disciplines.
* Build capability and capacity within the business to support both existing delivery and future growth.
Stakeholder & Client Interface
o Act as a senior operational interface with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
o Support tendering, bid reviews, and operational input into commercial proposals.
o Represent Ventus Energy in operational and technical discussions at a senior level, including governance and KPI forums where required.

Required Criteria
o Proven senior operational leadership experience within offshore energy, power transmission, renewables, or a closely related sector.
o Strong background in operations, commissioning, engineering and/or asset management environments.
o Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex operational portfolios.
o Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of cost drivers, risk, and contract delivery.
o Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at senior stakeholder, client, and workforce level.
o Deep practical understanding of Safe Systems of Work within high-risk environments, including extensive experience working with HV and LV electrical systems, and background operating at Senior Authorised Person (SAP) level or equivalent.
