Vox Consultants are currently recruiting for a Plumber in Durham.
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Durham.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30; Friday 07:30 - 15:30; Saturday to Sunday 08:00 - 15:00.
There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). You will also be required to take part in an 'on call' rota, which is paid separately.
What you will do:
1. Routine and non-routine maintenance.
2. Mains water supply repairs.
3. Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
4. Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
What you will bring:
5. Full driving licence
6. Experience in a commercial environment
7. Experience in operating light plant
8. NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is essential
9. Legionella Control (L8) is desirable
Prison Security Clearance will be required
