Computer Science Teacher | Secondary School in Watford | Full-Time | September Start Paid to Scale Supply Desk is currently recruiting for an engaging and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join a dynamic and well-resourced secondary school in Watford. This is a full-time position starting in September, ideal for an experienced educator or a confident ECT with a passion for computing and digital technology. Role Overview: Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching desirable but not essential). Develop engaging schemes of work that cover programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, computer systems, and software development. Inspire students to explore the role of technology in the modern world, preparing them for further study or digital careers. Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback to support achievement. Contribute to departmental planning, resources, and extra-curricular activities (e.g. coding clubs, digital competitions). Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and actively promote a safe and inclusive learning environment. Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related subject. Be confident in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and preferably KS5). Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for computing and digital education. Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. Be proactive, reflective, and dedicated to continual professional development. Be committed to supporting all students, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
