Job Summary: Working within the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ), the PMO Analyst (PMOA) will support the delivery of projects within the National Counter Terrorism and Protective Security (CT & PS) Change Portfolio. The PMO Analyst will ensure effective project governance, controls, reporting, and process improvement, working closely with project managers and technical teams to drive project success.
Role Position within CTPHQ: The PMO Analyst will maintain relationships with the Portfolio Office, follow guidance from team specialists, and be task-managed by Programme or Project Managers. The role involves working flexibly across the change portfolio on specific projects or programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project management documents and governance.
* Support planning, reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
* Ensure project delivery follows the plan.
* Assist in managing risks, issues, dependencies, resources, costs, and milestones.
* Maintain regular reporting.
* Ensure compliance with Portfolio Office standards.
* Build effective relationships within CTPHQ and with external stakeholders.
* Coordinate Project/Programme Boards.
* Update control documentation regularly.
Skills:
* Intermediate: RAID Log Management, Portfolio Office templates, Microsoft Office Suite, Project, reporting, action tracking, data analysis, minute taking, SharePoint.
* Foundation: Stakeholder Management, PPM Planning & Dependency Management, data analysis, resource tracking, project management, benefits management, business case writing, workshop facilitation, risk management, governance, communication skills, creative problem solving.
* Experience in project and programme management environments.
* Knowledge of or experience with MSP, Agile, PRINCE2.
* Live Developed Vetting.
* Experience establishing project control mechanisms.
* Experience in government, security agencies, or policing.
* Data analysis skills.
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with project management tools and software.
Qualifications:
* Desirable: PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent, Civil Service Contract Management Foundation.
